What Is the Project Management Specialist (CAPM Prep) Program?

A project management specialist supports the planning, execution and completion of projects. These professionals help develop schedules and budgets, coordinate tasks, track progress, maintain documentation and communicate with team members and stakeholders. By helping teams manage time, resources, costs and risks, project management specialists can support organized work and more consistent project outcomes.

Becoming a Qualified Project Management Specialist (CAPM Prep)

This completely online, self-paced program develops project-management fundamentals and prepares you for PMI's CAPM® exam. No professional project experience is required to enroll in the program or pursue the credential, but candidates must meet PMI's education requirements before taking the exam.

This program prepares you to pursue the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) credential. Completing the program does not automatically award certification; candidates must meet PMI's current eligibility requirements and pass the certification exam. Eligibility requires a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED or global equivalent; at least 23 hours of project-management education completed before the exam; and no professional project experience. Candidates should review PMI's current eligibility requirements before applying for the exam. The certifying organization is the Project Management Institute (PMI).
